SciFinder^® is a portal to chemistry and related information providing easy access to the most trusted collection of chemical substances, reactions and literature references in the world curated by expert scientists. PatentPak^® is an integrated workflow solution designed to radically reduce time spent acquiring and searching through full-text patents to find vital chemistry insights. PatentPak connects you to more than 10 million searchable, full-text patents from 31 major patent offices across the globe.

SciFinder with PatentPak is accessible to users connected to the MCW Network, via the library's proxy server, or from the Todd Wehr Library.  Access is not available on any Froedtert Health or CHW staff workstation, or via hospital staff wireless.

SciFinder with PatentPak is brought to you through a collaboration between the Medical College of Wisconsin Program in Chemical Biology and the Medical College of Wisconsin Libraries.

To become a SciFinder user, you must create your own username and password.

Some tips about registering:

• Use MCW's custom SciFinder registration page to start your registration. If you have an account for SciFinder at another institution, you must make a new account to use SciFinder at MCW.
• SciFinder is for educational use only.  Commercial use of SciFinder is strictly prohibited. Read the terms under License Agreement carefully. If you do not accept the terms, click decline. You are responsible for using SciFinder in accordance with the terms of use if you accept those terms. To review the terms in the license shown during the registration process, go to the terms of use page and search for "user agreement text."
• You must use your MCW e-mail (username@mcw.edu) as your e-mail when you register. Other e-mail accounts will not be accepted.
• You will receive a confirmation email with a link that must be clicked to complete your registration. The link will expire in 48 hours. 
• After you have completed your registration process, use the SciFinder login link on this page to access SciFinder. Do not use the links on the page that appears after you complete your registration. These links are not customized for our institution's subscription and the second link is for SciFinder-n which is not available to MCW users.

After registering, MCW Users must access SciFinder from the MCW network. 

From off-campus, use the this link, or use IE within Citrix to access SciFinder. You will also have to log in with your unique SciFinder username and password.
